No conduce autom\u00e1ticamente a la residencia permanente ni a la ciudadan\u00eda.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sin embargo, muchos beneficiarios de TPS han vivido en Estados Unidos durante d\u00e9cadas, han formado familias y desarrollado fuertes v\u00ednculos con sus comunidades. Los beneficiarios de TPS deben monitorear regularmente las actualizaciones oficiales de <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uscis.gov\/es\/noticias\/todas-las-noticias\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>USCIS<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> y consultar con un abogado de inmigraci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>\u00bfQu\u00e9 sucede si pierde la protecci\u00f3n del TPS?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cuando el TPS termina, muchos inmigrantes enfrentan una situaci\u00f3n legal complicada.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Primero, los beneficiarios de TPS <\/span><b>pierden la protecci\u00f3n contra la deportaci\u00f3n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> una vez que la designaci\u00f3n expira. El permiso de trabajo asociado con TPS tambi\u00e9n termina.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En muchos casos, las personas regresan a su <\/span><b>estatus migratorio previo<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, si ten\u00edan uno.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Por ejemplo:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Si alguien ten\u00eda previamente un estatus de visa v\u00e1lido, podr\u00eda regresar a ese estatus.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Si no ten\u00eda un estatus legal anterior, podr\u00eda quedar sujeto a <\/span><b>procesos de deportaci\u00f3n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> bajo la ley migratoria de EE.
